- TOUR 1: Alishan Tea Tour (One-Day) NTD3,000 (US$100) per personJoin this tour to experience Taiwan's tea culture, Alishan Tea Ceremony, and local tea plantation. This tour allows you to explore the local tea-producing area of Xi Ding / Shizhuo, which is usually difficult to access without a car. Enjoy the stunning mountain views of the famous Eryangping Trail, get lost among the winding tea plantations of the Trail of Tea, and enjoy the serene forest trails of the historic train town of Fenqihu. Alternate local trails can be considered upon request.
(Note: Pickup/drop off transportation to trail-heads with local knowledge is included, but walks themselves are self-led.)

8:00-9:00am - Tour Van departs from Chiayi City
9:30 am - Arrive at Eryangping Trail (二延平步道)- 2.3km/1.4 mi wooden-planked, many steps
- Tea ceremony with local tea producers
Afternoon - Travel to Shizhuo* (石桌), walks:- Trail of Tea
- Alishan Sakura Trail
- Mist Trail (shorter, interconnected paths
Afternoon - Travel to Fenqihu* (奮起湖)- Lunch - the famous mountain Bentong (bento box)
- Walks: Fenqihu Cedar Boardwalk Trail, Fenqihu Giant Tree)
6:00 pm - Depart for Chiayi
7:30 pm - Arrive at TRA station - TOUR 2: Alishan Scenic Area (One-Day) - NTD2,500(US$85) per person
Visit the famous Alishan Scenic Area on this day-long tour, combining the tea culture of Alishan with a self-guided exploration of the Alishan Scenic Area.
(Note: Alishan Scenic Area is a 2-2.5 hour drive from Chiayi along very windy roads, so this can be longer due to traffic, weather, and roadworks.)

For the convenience of our guests who have difficulties travelling down in time to start the tours at 8:00 am, we recommend guests to arrange a nearby hotel accommodation the night before the tour.
Alternatively, you can reach out to Steve to arrange an additional one-night accommodation, at the courtesy of our host (subject to availability and agreement). If there is additional time, Steve would be happy to bring you to nearby activities in Chiayi (e.g. Wenhua Road Night Market and restaurants).

I provide tea ceremony on tour day whilst also providing my expert knowledge. I also will introduce you to Taiwanese culture, you'll be able to meet many of my friends who produce and sell tea and hear their stories.

About the Tour Guide
I was born and raised in Chiayi and have spent my whole experiencing the wonder of Alishan and learning Taiwanese tea culture. 6 years ago, my family and I opened our home to international volunteers to help me create an organic natural farm. I am extremely proud of the magnificent space we've created. Now the farm is completed, I want to continue to share my knowledge of my beloved home, Chiayi. So, I've decided to start my own tour business. I've worked as a professional driver for over 25 years and I love talking to new and interesting people from all over the world. Sharing my knowledge of Alishan and Taiwanese tea and Chiayi is my life's passion, please come and be part of my journey.
